Privacy Policy
SessionClick is developed by MusicApps.eu (Karl-Ernst Kiel, sole trader, Germany).
This privacy policy applies to the SessionClick app on both Android and iOS.
What data the app collects
SessionClick does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data.
The app stores the following data locally on your device only:
- Your playlists, setlists, and song entries (title, subtitle, BPM)
- Your app preferences (dark/light mode)
This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it yourself using the built-in export function (which saves a JSON file to a location you choose).
Permissions and capabilities used
Android
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
| Foreground service | Keeps the metronome running reliably while the app is in use |
| Notifications | Shows a persistent notification while the metronome is active (required by Android for foreground services) |
| Vibrate | Powers the “Feel the Beat” haptic feedback feature |
iOS
| Capability | Why |
|---|---|
| Background audio | Lets the click keep playing when the screen is locked or another app is in the foreground |
| Haptics | Powers the “Feel the Beat” haptic feedback feature |
On both platforms the app does not request access to your contacts, location, camera, microphone, or storage.
In-app purchase
SessionClick offers an optional one-time in-app purchase (“Unlock SessionClick”) to remove free-tier limits. All payment processing is handled entirely by the platform’s app store — Google Play on Android and the Apple App Store on iOS. SessionClick does not receive, store, or process any payment information. The respective store’s privacy policy applies to the purchase transaction:
- Google Play: policies.google.com/privacy
- Apple App Store: apple.com/legal/privacy
Third-party libraries
SessionClick uses open-source libraries. A full list of libraries and their licenses is available inside the app under Open Source Licenses (in the app’s menu on Android, or Settings on iOS).
Analytics and tracking
None. The app contains no analytics SDK, no crash reporting service, and no advertising.
Data deletion
All app data is stored locally on your device. You can delete it at any time by uninstalling the app (on iOS, deleting the app also removes its data) or, on Android, by clearing the app’s data in your device settings.
